Produced by the Institut Français de la Mode in partnership with Who’s Next, “Dressed to express” is a documentary that shows how fashion in 2020 raises issues of self-expression, gender and various identity claims. The students of the IFM’s Specialised Masters in Fashion and Luxury Management, under the direction of professors Thomas Delattre and Benjamin Simmenauer, have staged a group of individuals aged between 20 and 35, questioning them about their identity and their relationship to the events that have marked the year 2020, from racism, feminism, grossophobia or the ecological cause, to the impact of covid-19 on fashion consumption. The result is insights into new consumer behaviours and their expectations of brands.
