Founded by Gabrielle Chanel at the beginning of the last century, CHANEL offers a broad range of high-end creations, including Haute Couture, Ready-to-Wear, Leather Goods, Fashion Accessories, Eyewear, Fragrances, Makeup, Skincare, Jewelry and Watches. CHANEL is also renowned for having acquired a large number of specialized suppliers, factories and Métiers d’art of which eleven are based at 19M, between Paris and Aubervilliers. CHANEL is dedicated to ultimate luxury and to the highest level of craftsmanship. It is a brand whose core values remain historically grounded on exceptional creation.

Only three designers have succeeded each other as artistic directors of CHANEL Fashion for over a hundred years. Upon his arrival in 1983, Karl Lagerfeld shook up Gabrielle Chanel's codes to better reinvent them; he transcended her creative heritage to propel it into a contemporary, highly desirable art of living.

In 2019, on the passing of Karl Lagerfeld whom she assisted for more than thirty years, Virginie Viard became Artistic Director of the Fashion Collections. Karl Lagerfeld would say of her: "She is my right arm and my left arm." She brings a woman's eye to a wardrobe she wants to create for all women, perpetuating the values dear to the House: freedom, audacity, modernity, and femininity.
