GARDOUCH
Information
Rémy Guerra graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, where he pursued a programme focused on video and installation while teaching himself sewing. In 2024, he founded GARDOUCH, a framework in which he transforms his personal archives into silhouettes and explores what the past becomes once it is worn.
Originally from Gardouch, a village in the south-west of France that gives its name to his brand, Rémy Guerra has developed a practice built around a central idea: memory disappears if we stop holding on to it. Each collection blends naïve craftsmanship, anachronisms, and materials sourced from deadstock, creating a wardrobe designed for bodies rather than genders.
