At the heart of circularity: Insights from cross-industry expertise
On Wednesday, December 11, the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode hosted a series of conferences focused on circularity and its implementation among various industries. The event aimed to foster cross-sector learning and promote a collaborative approach to sustainable development, bringing together experts to share insights, challenge existing practices to inspire our creative fashion sector.
Following an introduction by Pascal Morand and Clarisse Reille, Emmanuelle Ledoux, General Director of the National Institute of Circular Economy, shared a keynote on "How to make circular economy a driver for creation.". Then, three panels and two talks were held:
The first panel discussion, titled "Repairability: At What Cost?", brought together Frederic Grivel, VP Battery Repair Recycling and End of Life at Stellantis, Régis Koenig, Director of Repair & Sustainability at Fnac Darty, and Camille Masuyer, Head of Performance & CSR Operations at Chaumet.
Dominique Jakob, Co-founder of Jakob + MacFarlane, addressed the theme of “Design and Circularity”. Brune Poirson, Chief Sustainability Officer at Accor Group, then shared her insights during a talk on “Consumption and Circularity”.
A second panel, titled "Consumer Labeling for Transformation: Sharing Experiences," gathered Amélie Allaert, Home Index Leader at Adeo, Hélène Boyer, Director of Communication and CSR for Continental Europe at Kellogg's, and Joël Tronchon, Director of Sustainable Development for Europe at L’Oréal.
A third panel explored "How to Build Reliable and Accessible Data?" with Vincent Colomb, Ecolabelling Project Manager at ADEME, and Pascal Dagras, Environmental Labeling Coordinator at the French Ministry for Ecological Transition.
