Digital Art Month: Discover more than a hundred works in augmented reality in Paris!

Organized by Beaux Arts & Cie, CADAF (Crypto and Digital Art Fair) launches the Digital Art Month for the first time in Paris. They invite us to wander, on foot or by bike, throughout the city looking for QR codes scattered around the capital which give access to more than 100 augmented reality artwork during the month of June. The displayed works in augmented reality and video were created especially for the event by eighty renowned international artists such as Rory Scott, Andy Picci or the French artist Inès Alpha. A wonderful opportunity to rediscover the pleasure of art and strolling, Digital Art Month plays a role in the revival of social and cultural activities in Paris, for the benefit of the general public as well as all the city’s actors (merchants, cultural institutions, transportation networks, etc.).

At a time when digital art has become a true social phenomenon, Digital Art Month invites us to reflect on the place of art in the public space and on the new forms of creation made possible by technology. By turning smartphones or screens into an artistic medium, CADAF and Beaux Arts & Cie bring together art and innovation, emerging artists and renowned institutions, passers-by and art enthusiasts. Everyone can make the work their own by trying the filters on themselves or by positioning the works where they want. Art galleries in augmented reality emerge in the city, huge characters appear and straddle us, plastic bottles fly away and attack the passers-by… The observer participates himself in the creation process, and everyone can have fun making the city their painting canvas and their playground.

At a time when NFTS, these non-fungible tokens, are exploding, fueled by the parallel boom of Bitcoins, digital art is coming to the forefront with great fanfare. The Parisian edition of Digital Art Month refreshingly opens a door to this mysterious phenomenon that still intrigues many art lovers today. Digital art becomes an opportunity to breathe, to admire and to have fun, to rediscover art and Paris with lightness.
