European Fashion Alliance (EFA) conference

The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode took part of the European Fashion Alliance (EFA) conference, held on December 4, on the major topic: Shaping the future of the creative fashion sector while fostering innovation and sustainability.

Created in October 2022, the EFA unites European Fashion Councils and organizations to collectively address the challenges and opportunities facing the sector. The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode figures among its founding members and contributes actively as part of its Board. Together, its members have defined core principles and objectives focused on four key pillars: policy, sustainability, innovation, and education.
The EFA conference held at the European Parliament, under the patronage of Dr. Christian Ehler, MEP, and Jessika Roswall, EU Commissioner, underscored the need for policies that balance creativity with environmental responsibility. At a pivotal moment for Europe’s fashion sector, the EFA reaffirms its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and inclusivity.
Two round tables tackled key topics: "Status of the Fashion Industry: Challenges and Needs" and "Future of the Fashion Industry: Opportunities and Solutions"
On this occasion, EFA also unveiled its manifesto and recommendations, urging collective action to drive the sustainable transformation of Europe’s fashion industry.
