The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM) brings together the most emblematic French and international fashion houses, championing creativity and possessing unique and innovative expertise. It serves as both a selective professional organisation for its Members and an events organisation that coordinates Paris Fashion Week® and Haute Couture Week. It comprises three committees whose role is to contribute to the development, promotion and influence of their respective sectors.
- Haute Couture Committee
The Haute Couture Committee continues the legacy of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, established in 1911, building upon foundations laid by the first Chamber initiated by Charles Frederick Worth in 1868. The Haute Couture Committee brings together fashion houses holding Haute Couture accreditation, which satisfy criteria relating to craftsmanship expertise, personalisation, collection schedules, and the know-how of their ateliers.
- Womenswear Committee
The Womenswear Committee has its origins in the former Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Féminine, founded on 8th October 1973 after leading couturiers and fashion designers decided to unify their approach by presenting their ready-to-wear collections together. This Committee brings together the most recognised houses for their creativity and expertise in womenswear.
- Menswear Committee
The Menswear Committee stems from the Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Masculine, which was also founded on 8th October 1973, with equally selective criteria. This Committee brings together the most recognised houses for their creativity and expertise in menswear.
