RVDK Ronald van der Kemp's Organised Chaos
Back in December, ‘This Will Not End Well,’ an exhibition by Nan Goldin at the Stedelijk in Amsterdam, caught Ronald van der Kemp’s attention. Around the same time, he had presented a show at Amsterdam Fashion Week where he only made clothes from paper. One, an American artist and activist, the other a Dutch couturier: both deploying their work as a means of questioning the structures that define society. It’s easy to see how he was drawn to Goldin’s seminal work. Through art and fashion, they both galvanise audiences into questioning the fabric of society and mobilising them to change it.
